✦ The Story

The name that means broadcast graphics.

The name that means broadcast graphics.

The name that means broadcast graphics.

In 1966, Chyron put the first electronic graphics on television. The industry answered by turning the company into a common noun. Every lower third on every newscast is called a chyron, whoever made it. Our job was to make the original look like the original again.

Chyron builds the graphics systems behind live television. Scores, stats, lower thirds, virtual sets and player tracking. If you watched a game last night, you almost certainly watched Chyron at work.

The Brief

Unite a legendary name and a modern product family under one story. One platform, multiple solutions, told with the confidence of the company that started it all.

Challenge

The Problem

Heritage was reading as history. Younger competitors looked faster and sounded newer, while the brand that invented the category blended into it. Chyron needed its edge back without losing its authority.

Approach

The Solution

A sharpened system in broadcast navy, signal cyan and scoreboard yellow, set in TT Commons and built to move. One campaign line carries it everywhere. Since day one.

✦ Iconography

Drawn on the raster.

Drawn on the raster.

Drawn on the raster.

A pixel-born icon set that tips its cap to 1966 — every glyph built on the same coarse grid that put the first electronic characters on screen. Arrows, signals and stats that read at a glance, at any size, in one cyan.

Broadcast navy holds the room. Signal cyan cuts through it, the color of a live feed. Scoreboard yellow lands the highlight. A palette tuned to read instantly, on air or on a tote bag.

TT Commons

One typeface at every weight, geometric and unsentimental. As legible on a lower third at full speed as it is on a letterhead.

✦ Identity & Guidelines

One system, boardroom to broadcast.

One system, boardroom to broadcast.

One system, boardroom to broadcast.

The full kit. Palette, type, iconography and rules of play, documented so any team in any market can put Chyron on screen and get it right the first time.

✦ Conference Screens

At home on the a show floor.

At home on the a show floor.

At home on the a show floor.

The anchor of every conference stand: a video wall running the brand at broadcast speed. Live game footage, signal cyan and the wordmark holding the corner — built to be read from three aisles away and remembered after the hall empties.

✦ Newsletter & Email

News that reads like a broadcast.

News that reads like a broadcast.

News that reads like a broadcast.

A newsletter built like a night game: dark-mode navy, stadium light and one cyan call to action. Company news, product drops and the Since Day One story land in modular blocks — headline, highlight, replay — so every send looks unmistakably Chyron in the inbox.

✦ WEBSITE

One platform, every solution.

One platform, every solution.

One platform, every solution.

A homepage that answers the three questions a broadcaster arrives with — what you sell, what it solves, who runs it — and backs the answers with testimonials from working newsrooms.

LIVE Website

Design shown is the original 2024 launch. The live site has since evolved.

✦ PowerPoint Template

On brand before the first slide.

On brand before the first slide.

On brand before the first slide.

A master template for every deck the company gives: dividers, roadmaps, service portfolios, team updates. The layouts, charts and photo treatments are pre-built in the system, so anyone can drop in content and present something that looks unmistakably Chyron.

✦ Collateral

Made to be keeped.

Brochures, one-pagers and catalogs, one voice across all of them. A one-pager that lands the platform story in a single pass, the Since Day One brochure that carries the campaign, and a training catalog that keeps teaching long after the trade show ends.

✦ Print Marketing

The pitch, in your hands.

The pitch, in your hands.

The pitch, in your hands.

The booth kit in three pieces: a one-pager that lands the platform story, the Since Day One brochure that carries the campaign, and a training catalog that keeps working long after the demo.
